CONTINGENCY PLANS FOR TUESDAY CYCLING SESSIONS
In case of inclement weather, meet at Gold’s Gym @ 6:15 PM for spinning!

The Club will be cycling every Tuesday evening. No doubt. In the event of inclement weather at the time of practice, 5:45 PM on Tuesday evenings, the training sessions will be moved indoors to the Gold’s Gym spinning room. The Club has defined inclement weather as – snow, moderate-to-hard rain, or temperatures below 40 degrees. The session will start at 6:15 PM SHARP.

This back-up plan is free to all Bozeman Triathlon Club members, and membership at Gold’s Gym is not necessary [although we do encourage our members to support Gold’s Gym and our Tri Club sponsors, :o)]. Upon arrival at Gold’s, just mention at the front desk that you’re with the Tri Club, and you might want to thank Gold’s for supporting the Club and providing this back-up plan opportunity!

CLUB COMMUNICATIONS
As a reminder, please regularly check the website for training session details and on-the-fly updates at www.bozemanmasters.com/tri_club.php. We recommend that you check the blog before practice, for possible training session revisions. The blog will be our primary communication tool, and emails like this one, will be secondary and not always possible.

BOZEMAN TRIATHLON CLUB MEMBERSHIP
The cost for a 2008 Bozeman Triathlon Club individual membership is only $30. Prospective Tritons just need to sign a waiver and provide a check payable to the Bozeman Triathlon Club. The Club is currently establishing its initial 2008 roster, which must be submitted to the USA Triathlon insurance carrier soon. Hi All- if at the time of practice tomarrow, 4/22/08, the weather is snow, rain moderate/hard or the temp is below is 40 degrees we will meet at Gold’s gym for spinning at 6:15 sharp!! Otherwise see you at Bogert at 5:45 to ride!

Thursday practice changed to Cycling

The weather looks to be better today- so time to take advantage of it! We will cycle instead of run Thursday April 17. We will do the intensity ride that was scheduled for Tuesday. For all of you who are training for distances other than olympic – feel free to join us – the workout can be easily altered to meet your needs!

If for some reason the weather turns bad as the day goes on and it starts to rain or snow or the temp drops below 40 ,we will still meet at 5:45 and do the intensity run.

Tuesday practice 4/15- a snowy run

Winter just wont leave…….so we will be running today- Tuesday- instead of cycling. We will run Thursday as well. Join us at Bogart- 5:45pm- for a 40 moderate steady run!!

Tuesday’s Training Session — Spinning, Gold’s Gym, 6:15 PM, 4/8

OK!  Ignore that last blog post.  Way optimistic, in light of eight inches of new snow, or whatever.

It’s springtime in paradise.  :o)

Ridiculous really, in the face of a Grizzly Triathlon forecast for this Saturday of mostly sunny, 66 degrees.  No kidding.

So, the Tri Club trains on, stays flexible!

Endurance athletes endure, while seeking fun ways to train.

Reboot.

Coach Laurie will now lead us through a spinning class this evening at Gold’s Gym, 1605 West Main Street.  Should be fun!  Warm, too.

Class starts at 6:15 PM SHARP.

The class is free.  At the front desk, just mention you’re with the Tri Club.

You might want to thank Gold’s for supporting the Club, too!

See you soon.

PS:  FWIW, most of the bikes at Gold’s Gym are equipped with toe clips and straps; i.e., wear running shoes or something similar for spinning.  Only three or four of the bikes are equipped with SPD pedals, ready for cycling shoes and cleats.
