Bozeman Tritons Triathlon!

BOZEMAN TRITONS TRIATHLON
July 30-31, 2011 – East Gallatin Recreation Area, Bozeman, Montana
Get ready, get set, go! Mark your 2011 triathlon race calendar on July 30-31 for the Club’s new signature event – the Bozeman Tritons Triathlon. Formerly known as the Treasure State Triathlon and Headwaters Half, these races have been a fixture in the Gallatin Valley since 2006. The half is the first and only long distance triathlon in the state of Montana. For 2011, the event will feature a youth race, sprint distance race, and the 70.3 mile long course event, all on the same fun-filled weekend at the East Gallatin Recreation Area right here in Bozeman. The sprint course promises to be fast, while the half will definitely be challenging! Registration will begin on February 1, 2011. Additional race information will be released on a rolling basis, as it becomes available. Stay tuned!

POWDER HOUND WINTER TRIATHLON
January 30, 2011 – Homestake Lodge, Butte, Montana
The Powder Hound will again serve as the USA Triathlon Pacific Northwest Region Winter Triathlon Championship. Already in its third year, the Powder Hound is the first and only winter triathlon in Montana and the northern Rockies. Bark, growl, unleash your inner snow dog, and have a howlin’ good time, while running, mountain biking, and Nordic skiing on the groomed ski trails of Homestake Lodge, high atop the Continental Divide. The Powder Hound offers athletes – including triathletes, Nordic and downhill skiers, mountain bikers, cyclocross riders, cyclists, runners, swimmers, off-road enthusiasts, and many others — a terrific opportunity to expand their multisport skills, vary mid-winter training, improve fitness, and compete. Registration will be available soon.

  1. Hi, Tritons! I’m looking for a pair of used (but not abused) x-country skate skis for the coming winter. If anyone has a pair that would fit me (I’m 6’1″, 175 lbs), at the right price, let me know. Or, if someone would volunteer to help me at the Ski Swap, that would be great. Thanks, Doug 581.5079 cell
