Tuesday: Masters Swimming 7:30 @ swim center

Wednesday: Cycling 6pm Bogart Park. WU: 20 min MS: 30 min time trial @ threshold intensity. CD: 20 min

Thurdsay: Running 6pm @ High School Track. Short Intervals/ladder.
Masters Swimming 7:30 pm @ swim center

Saturday: Dryland training 8am @ Gold’s gym

This is our last hard week of training. 2 weeks of taper will follow before the race on the 17th of August!!

RACE READY CLINIC – Tuesday, August 5th, 6:00 PM – Fleet Feet Bozeman
Get Ready for the Treasure State Triathlon, with a Coaches Q&A Session!
The Treasure State Tri is the Triton’s A-Race, and on Clinic day, the race will be eleven days away.  What’s your game plan?  Coaches Laurie Thatcher and Matt Parks will answer your questions, and help you prepare for those final eleven days and the race — holistically, with your mind, body, and spirit.  Other free-flowing discussion topics may include necessary “race ready” tools, training plan and conditioning progress, and race day strategies and goals.  Put this event on your calendar, and truly get ready for the Treasure State Triathlon!

WEEKLY TRAINING SCHEDULE
Here’s the look-ahead training schedule for the week.  We’re at Bogert Park for cycling on Wednesday and the High School Track for running on Thursday.  The next OWS at East Gallatin is tentatively planned for Friday, August 8th at 6:00 PM.  With multiple races, the Sweet Pea Festival, and other getaways planned during August weekends, dryland training is suspended for the next few weeks.  We will resume dryland training with Coach Minde on Saturday mornings in late-August/early September.  We’ll keep you posted!

The Bozeman Masters Swim Club and Bozeman Triathlon Club invite you to its annual potluck picnic and fueling session.  Bozeman Masters members, Bozeman Triathlon Club members & Treasure State Triathlon competitors, including their families and children, are welcome!  Montana Molly and Tom Hayes are once again hosting the event.  The picnic is scheduled for Saturday evening, August 16th at 5:30 PM.  That’s the evening before the Treasure State Triathlon.  It should be another fun-filled, potluck fueling session.  Be there!

SPRING MEADOW TRIATHLON RESULTS
Thirteen Tritons participated in the 2008 Spring Meadow Triathlon!  Sherri Pearson finished #2 overall female in the Sprint.  Lander Purvis, Aunge Thomas, and Jennifer Royall finished #1 female team.  Congrats to all, and get psyched for the Treasure State Tri!

Triathlon Workouts for Week of July 14th

This is a recovery week!  Use this week to recover and get rested, in order to give it your all the for the following 2 “peak” weeks.

Tuesday
Swimming:  Masters Swim at East Gallatin – 7:30 pm, or see training plan for detailed swim workout.  Swim Center is closed this evening; BOZE practice is shifting to the East Gallatin Recreation Area  for an OWS, starting at 7:30 PM.

Wednesday
Cycling:  Meet at Bogert Park @ 6pm!!  WU: 20 min with 3-4 pick ups.  MS 3×3 min @ speed with 3 min active recovery.  CD 20 min.  Focus on aero position and cadence!

Thursday
Run:  Meet at Bogert Park @ 6pm.  40 min “Indian Run.”  Not sure what this is???  Come and find out!!
Swimming:  Masters Swim @ Swim Center – 7:30pm, or see training plan for detailed swim workout.

Saturday
Dryland Training:  Meet at the “M” Parking Lot @ 8am.  A workout, including trail running up to the “M.”
